1. Data Controller

Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), your personal data in connection with this website and the communication processes conducted through it is processed by GNS Water Treatment Technologies (“GNS” or the “Company”) in its capacity as data controller.

2. What Personal Data Do We Process?

Through the website, contact form, “Let’s Discuss Your Project” form and direct communication channels, we may process identity information (name and surname), contact information (phone and email), company and role information, project location, sector, project/facility details, capacity and schedule information, message and request content, and information contained in files you upload. During use of the site, technical data such as IP address, connection and transaction security logs, and cookie preferences may also be processed.

Please do not include sensitive personal data in project files or free-text fields unless it is necessary to evaluate your request.

3. For What Purposes Do We Process Personal Data?

Your personal data is processed in a limited and proportionate manner for purposes including responding to contact and information requests, technically evaluating project needs, conducting quotation and pre-contract processes, managing customer and business relationships, following up requests and complaints, ensuring information and system security, managing legal disputes and fulfilling statutory obligations.

4. Legal Grounds

Depending on the specific processing activity, data may be processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK, including where processing is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract, is necessary for the data controller to fulfil a legal obligation, is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right, or is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller provided that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not harmed. Where the law requires explicit consent, such consent is obtained separately from this notice.

5. Collection Method

Your personal data may be obtained electronically through website forms, email, telephone and other communication channels you use, as well as essential technical mechanisms operating on the site, by partially automated means or by non-automated means provided that they form part of a data recording system.

6. Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred, only to the extent necessary and limited to the processing purpose, to IT, hosting, email, security and technical support service providers acting for GNS, authorized public institutions and organizations, courts and legally authorized authorities. If a new third-party service or technology involving an international transfer is introduced, the transfer process will be separately assessed in accordance with the relevant provisions of the KVKK.

7. Retention Period

Personal data is retained for the period required by the processing purpose and for any limitation or retention periods prescribed by applicable legislation. When the reason for processing ceases to exist, data that is not legally required to be retained is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

8. Your Rights Under Article 11 of the KVKK

By applying to GNS, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose; know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad; request correction if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately; request deletion or destruction when the legal conditions are met; request notification of correction, deletion or destruction to third parties to whom the data has been transferred; object to a result arising against you through analysis exclusively by automated systems; and claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

9. How to Apply

You may submit your requests under the KVKK, together with information sufficient to verify your identity and request, to the postal address above or to info@gnsaritma.com the email address. Applications are evaluated within the procedures and time limits prescribed by applicable legislation according to the nature of the request. Additional verification may be requested to prevent disclosure of data to unauthorized persons.
